Two posts in one month?!?! Oh yeah!

February was a great month for us! Valentine's Day was wonderful! We had pizza at home because Andrew had to take a 4 hour final for one of his Masters classes. We went to a late movie and saw "The Dilemma" which was super funny. I got Andrew some candy and he sent me an edible arrangements. It was SO yummy! Then on the 25th Andrew celebrated his 25th birthday! I took the girls from our Youth Group to the Revolve Tour and it just so happened to land on his birthday! He was such a great sport about it! Addie and I bought him a couple new shirts. We had a birthday dinner for him at Macayos which was very yummy!

I had a wonderful time taking the girls to Revolve! My helper ended getting sick right before the event so I took 16 girls ages 12-17 by myself! We saw great bands, awesome speakers and learned a lot! It was FUN! We will definitely be going back next year!

It's pretty late but I will be updating again next week with pictures =)

New things Addie can do!

Andrew and I were looking through pictures of Addie from birth to present and I can't believe how big my little baby is! She is learning new things every day. I gave her a mani/pedi this morning and she said, "Thanks for coloring my piggies, Mommy!" It just makes you want to squeeze her!

She skips and jumps everywhere! She also knows how to gallop like a pony. It's adorable!

She knows five colors! Blue, red, yellow, purple and green.

She can count to 10 without omitting any numbers!

She knows her name and also refers to herself as "the Baby." This morning she wanted my water bottle and said, "Mama, give that to the baby!" lol

She says please and thank you for everything. She also says excuse me when she burps or when she passes by people in the store.

She knows shapes, too. Circle, triangle, square, heart and star. We're working on more shapes everyday!

When she sees letters she calls them "E-E-I." I don't know why she does but I think it's hilarious!

She loves to dance!

She says a new word almost everyday. She's also starting to put together simple sentences and phrases.

She pretend plays all the time. She cooks food for us in her kitchen, plays with babies and feeds them, all kinds of things! She also love Fisher Price Little People!

Well I will update more another day...sleep is calling my name!

Can you believe?

I really can't believe Addie is already 2 years old (26 months to be exact.) It really feels like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. She's such a sweet little girl. She can be very stubborn sometimes but she is a lover.

Right now we are working on potty training. It's a little frustrating at times but I know she understand the concept and that's why we keep trying at it. We bought her big girl panties and she loves them but she still has tons of accidents. I know she will get it eventually and we just have to keep trying.

She is still having sleeping issues but it's getting better everyday. One night she will sleep through the night just perfectly and then the next she will be awake for 2-3 hours in the middle of the night. I don't mind too much because I am a SAHM but if I had to work it would be pretty difficult. We've tried eliminating naps to see if that helps but all it does is make a super cranky little girl and she begs me to put her to sleep. I know it will pass and soon she will be older and I will miss these days when I got to cuddle and spend time with her watching her favorite movies.

I joined Weight Watchers this month. It was difficult to get used to the first few days but now I feel like I "got it." I had my first weigh in yesterday and I lost 10lbs! Can you believe it?!?! 10 lbs! I think a lot of it had to do with not drinking soda and getting rid of all the water and sodium weight but either way I am SO excited. I was able to work out three times but I am hoping I can do it everyday. I not only want to look better but I want to feel better - feel healthy. I don't want Addie to have the "fat parents." I am really dedicated to sticking with it and FINALLY getting rid of this weight. Sometimes it's hard because I just want a hamburger but the food I get to eat is still pretty yummy. I'll keep updating as I weigh in every Thursday.

I finished my 1st semester back at college in January. My major is Small Business Management. While I love education and someday hope to be a teacher, right now I just need to finish my undergrad and business is the most economical for us right now. I took 9 credit hours and only had one class I didn't like. I start again in March and am taking 9 credit hours again. Andrew started his Masters degree this month and he isn't liking it so much. It's hard for him to go to work all day and then come home and do homework. I know he will get the hang of it, though!

All in all we are happy and healthy and we couldn't ask for anything more!

New Years Eve 2010

I don't know why my pictures showed up sooo big on the last post but I am definitely too lazy to fix it :-/

New Years Eve we went over to my sister's house and had a lot of fun! We played WII, ate mexican food, had a bonfire...it was great! Addie was feeling a little better so that helped, too.

Resolutions for 2011:

Have a baby! We have been trying since the miscarriage in March 2010 and I am really hoping this year brings a baby for us.

Be on time...Andrew and I are usually late and so far we have held this resolution!

Give up soda by the end of 2011. It's not gonna happen in one day but I am slowly weaning myself lol

Christmas 2010

My poor girl was sick the whole week of Christmas! When she woke up from her nap on Christmas Eve she had a high fever. We gave her tylenol and it helped a little but never completely went away. Then the runny nose started...fun. She was lethargic and just didn't feel like herself. Christmas Eve night we decided to skip Church since Addie wasn't feeling well and had my Mom and Dad and Andrew's Mom and her husband over for dinner! I made a turkey! A 17lb TURKEY! And it turned out amazing. I was literally hyperventilating while making it because I was certain I was going to mess it up. We had a fun night and opened gifts with our families. Christmas morning Addie woke up around 6:00AM with a very high fever (102.5) and you can see in our pictures she had very red cheeks because of it. She came downstairs and squealed with delight when she saw the Mickey Mouse quad, basketball hoop and Mickey Mouse couch we got her! Even though she wasn't feeling well she played with all her toys and had fun. We decided to still go to Coolidge to visit Andrew's Grandparents and that we would just leave if she got worse. We had fun but you could tell Addie didn't feel good :-( Christmas 2010 was fun but I just wish Addie wouldn't have been sick. I ended up taking her to the Doctor on Wednesday the 29th and she had double ear infections and a cold. She is feeling better now, though! Here are some pictures!
