Hooray!
Beginning January 30th, 2009 I will officially be a stay at home mommy! We just decided this was the best decision for our family, especially because I cry everyday that I have to leave her to go to work! I am so excited, and so glad that I have a wonderful husband who has agreed to be the main provider so I can be at home with our little girl. It's going to take me being dedicated to a budget (and less shopping) but I know we can do it! Praise be to God that He made this possible!

Addie's Dedication
Sunday Addie was dedicated at our church! A dedication is where Andrew and I are dedicating ourselves to raise her in a Christian home until she is old enough to make the decision to be a Christian herself. We don't typically baptize children until they are old enough to understand what it really means. After Church we had everyone over for a BBQ to celebrate! Here are some pictures from that day!

My last day on maternity leave...
So today is technically my last day of maternity leave. I can't even imagine how hard it's going to be to leave her to go to work on Monday. Thank God I only have to work until Andrew get's a job, then I get to be a stay at home mommy to my baby girl! Andrew has a couple good job leads, we're just waiting to hear back. The best is from University of Phoenix so keep your fingers crossed for us! Addie has a cold, so I hope she gets better before her dedication on Sunday! Here are some new pictures of Addie at six weeks!

I haven't updated in a while...
I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated this thing!
We'll we had our precious little girl Adeline Lauren Kabbani on December 4th, 2008 at 6:31p.m. She was 8lbs 2oz and 20 inches long. She was delivered by c-section after 20 hours of induced labor! She is the cutest, sweetest, most amazing thing that's ever happened to me! I can't even remember what life was like before we had her and I don't care! lol!
So my birth story goes something like this....
On December 3rd, 2008 I went to West Valley hospital to be induced at 8:40p.m. They immediately started the cervidil inserts to try and get me to dialate. I was only dialated to a 1 and was 50% effaced. I started having contractions right away. So we started walking....we would walk for an hour around L&D, then I would get another insert of Cervidil. After a couple hours the contractions were so painful that they gave me Stadol to help with the pain. I was pretty much out after that. They checked me a couple times during the night and I was dialating REALLY slowly. At about 9:00a.m. my doctor came and broke my water. The contractions got REALLY bad after that so I had my epidural at about 11:00a.m. when I was 3-4 centimeters dialated. I kept getting checked all day and was not moving past 5 centimeters. They gave me this peanut shaped birthing ball to put between my legs to try and help her move down the birth canal so I could dialate further. At about 3;30p.m. the doctor came to talk to me about how I wasn't progressing and he though a c-section would be in my future. I told him I wanted to wait it out a little further and he agreed he would give me a little longer but if they checked me and I wasn't progressing we would do a c-section. At 4:30p.m. he came back in a checked me and I hadn't move at all! I was still at 5! So he gave me a half hour to try and progress. At this point I was having terrible back labor and the birthing ball was making me really angry! The nurse checked me at 5:00p.m. and I was still at 5 so they started prepping me for a c-section! I was crying because I REALLY didn't want things to go this way but Andrew and my family were really reassuring so I calmed down a little bit. We ended up waiting until about 6:20p.m. to get into the OR because my doctor's surgery assistant was stuck in traffic...but it was ok because I decided to take a nap! lol! So they brought us into the OR and at 6:31p.m. she was here! I am ultimately glad we had the c-section because the cord was wrapped around her neck twice so having her vaginally could have posed some major complications! They took her and Andrew to the nursery and I was left there in the OR while they were putting me back together! I was shaking so bad from the spinal and the medication that I didn't get to hold her until she was about an hour old. I really wanted to have her naturally but I decided that it doesn't matter how she got here, it only matters that she is here! Here are some pictures from labor and delivery!
