I need a t-shirt that says:

"Yes, we want to have more children. Yes, we know Addie is getting older. Yes, she wants a baby brother or sister. Thanks."

I feel like I answer questions like this on a daily basis. I think our whole miscarriage and year of trying to conceive will make me NEVER ask someone questions like that. Mainly because you never know what's going on in someone's life behind closed doors. I always answer with a smile but it does sting a little bit when people ask if we're ever going to have another baby. Well, we've been trying for 13 months so thanks for reminding me!

I really want my children close together in age and every month that goes by makes me sad....

What has happened since April!

I haven't blogged since April! HOW SAD! I do have a good excuse...I was putting together our new house! I am still compiling pictures of everything to share with my blog friends. I've been painting and decorating and all that good stuff. Along with taking care of a crazy toddler and all the usual (Church, school, etc.) We also got a puppy! He's a Blue Heeler. He's 14 weeks old and his name is Thor! Having a puppy is a lot more work than I thought but we love it. Andrew is halfway done with his Masters program and I am almost done with my Associates...how sad? I know! I will be going to U of P for my BA after I finish. My new goal for blogging is going to be once a month. That's my minimum though. I would like to make it a weekly thing. Well...I will work on posting more pictures and updates soon.

May 2011

Since I missed a couple months of posting I am going to update about each month until the current month. My friend Alli explained how to do back dated posts so I think that's how I will do it! I'm going to do my best to remember what happened in each month lol

I spent most of May getting settled in our new house. I was painting, decorating and organizing everything! It's been hard work but completely worth it. Addie had a hard time adjusting to the move. The first night she cried and pulled on the front door because she wanted to "go home." We moved her toddler bed into our room and she slept there for a week or so. After that she was fine.

We have lots of birthday in May in our family...my Dad, my Brother, my Brother-in-law and some friends share birthdays in that month too. I think we went to 4 birthday parties in May! It was nuts!

On my Dad's birthday (May 17th) Addie I joined my parents for lunch at this great little local place called Wild West Steakhouse. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We all loved it!

Around my Brother's birthday (May 23rd) he found out that his girlfriend was carrying a boy! The first boy grandchild in our family. Very exciting! They decided to name him Kota Lot Blough.

We also had our first home owner stresses in May. We bought a used washer and dryer set and my Dad helped Andrew hook it up in our upstairs laundry room (dumbest thing EVER!) We ran it once without laundry in it to make sure it was hooked up correctly and then went about our business. I was painting Addie's playroom and Andrew was doing some laundry. All of the sudden I hear water hitting tile. I yelled to Andrew, "Is Addie peeing on the floor??" and the next thing I see is Andrew flying up the stairs and turning off the washer. The hose popped out of the washer and it flooded the laundry room...I mean A LOT of water! Even the carpet in the hallway was flooded. We have an emergency pipe that's supposed to direct the water out to the backyard but instead it directed the water to come pouring out of the light fixture in our kitchen! It was a big mess and very scary. Luckily we got it all handled and no permanent damage was done. We fixed the washer and now it works like a champ! I wanted to cry when all of this was happening lol.

In May we also did the 30 Hour Famine with our Church Youth Group. It's an amazing organization and gives us a chance to impact the world in our own Church. We ask people to donate to us while we go 30 hours without food (Almost like a walkathon, donate per hour) and then spend the 30 hours together at the Church doing community service projects, playing games, singing worship and doing Bible studies. We stay overnight at the Church and then break our fast with communion and a big BBQ. It's really a blessing to watch these teenagers not only dedicate two days of their time but also being HUNGRY (which is such a big deal for teens) so they can help feed people in need. $1 feeds a child for a day and we raised over $2000.00. It was amazing!

I think those were the big events for May!

So much to do!

We got the keys to the house yesterday! Now it's moving, painting, decorating! I might be MIA for a while but I promise to post pictures of the new house soon!

Easter weekend 2011

We had a wonderful weekend! Sunday we went to Easter SONrise ervice at our Church which is outside at the Pastor's barn and it was absolutely beautiful. Then we went to my parent's house and spent time with them. Addie got to feed the baby ducks which she loved! Then off to Coolidge to spend time with Andrew's family! It was very tiring but fun!

The baby ducks!

I'm raising a cowgirl??

Apparently I am raising a cowgirl! Miss Addie is obsessed with everything "yeehaw" these days and I think it's adorable! We went to the County fair on Sunday and she was able to ride a pony. I thought she was going to be scared but my girl hopped on and yelled "YEEHAW!" the whole time! Then she cried when it was over! I think it's adorable. And I saw these boots:

And HAD to get them for her! She wears them every single day and refuses to take them off. I am actually thinking about ordering a back-up pair lol. Her love of these boots is demonstrated here:

I think it stems from her love of Jessie from Toy Story.

We should be signing papers/getting keys for our new house on Monday! I CAN'T WAIT! It's gorgeous and we are buying it for a ridiculous price. I just can't wait to decorate and start painting!

Day 29 & day 30:

I am combining two since I missed posting yesterday!

Day 29: Something you have learned in the past month.

That buying a house is the most frustrating process in the world. I am ready for it to be over and to be in my new house!

Day 30: Your favorite song.

I've been listening to a lot of country lately and my favorite song right now is "Ours" by Taylor Swift.
