BUSY weekend!

We had such a busy weekend! It feels like we didn't have any time to relax - at all! Saturday was Andrew's Mom's 50th birthday, and we threw her a surprise party! We had it at the clubhouse here in our apartments and it turned out great! We had about 25 people and just had fun! She was very surprised. Sunday we had Church until 12:30, then my nieces (plural, Kaitlynn turned 7 June 5th and Ashlynn turned 4 June 25th) birthday party at 1:30! We ended up staying until almost 6:00p.m. because we were having so much fun swimming and hanging out. Then Sunday we came home and I had to clean and get our apartment re-organized from the party commotion! Now it's Monday and I have a long week ahead of me! Oh, and Addie is now a big girl sleeping in her own crib! Some of you may know, we started putting her in her crib when we moved out of my parents house back in April, but after we went of vacation in May to Kansas and Addie had to sleep with us, she went on a crib sleeping strike and refused to sleep in her room! It took a week of letting her cry for 15 minute increments but now she is sleeping in there like a pro! Come to find out she is a belly sleeper, though! UGH! It really freaks me out! But we talked to her doctor and he said as long as we are putting her on her back and she is putting herself on her belly, there's nothing we can do! Here are some pictures from this weekend!

4th of July/6th Month Pictures!

Our fourth of July was awesome! We went to Coolidge to visit Andrew's Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles on Friday, and came home on Sunday. We went swimming, hung out, BBQ'd and just had fun! Addie is so spoiled when we go there! They all just love her to pieces. We went to our friends Sabrina and Aron's house on Friday night in AZ City and had dinner and talked loooong into the night! It was so much fun because we don't get to see them very often. We watched fireworks from their backyard because the golf course was doing their fireworks on Friday. Addie loved watching them! Then we swam, ate, swam some more and just hung out with family. Coolidge did a 45 minute firework show! It was hot but way worth it. Addie just loved watching all the colors! Anyway, here are the pictures I promised long ago!

Summer Ramblings...

My Addie girl is getting so big! She tries to crawl but can't get her chubby self off of the ground! We went to a birthday party today and she had so much fun watching the kids play and playing with her best friend Ella! She says "nana" now too, but for Banana! She LOVES bananas and if I say banana she yells "NANA!" It's so darn adorable! I took her back to the doctor on Thursday because she's had drainage and goop coming from one of her eyes for quite some time. They've given me two different types of drops and it hasn't cleared it up so they wanted me to bring her back in. We'll when I brought her back in they totally dismissed it. They said it's a blocked duct. I've never heard of a blocked duct showing up at six months old! I've been annoyed with her doctor's office because EVERY time we bring her in we see a new doctor. I want her to have one doctor that she sees every time that she comes in. It's annoying because they ask me the same questions every time trying to find out her medical history or they skim through her chart and act like they know what they're talking about. It's so annoying. I'm going to call a couple of pediatrician offices to see if I can set up an appointment for a second opinion and to find another doctor. Things are going great around the Kabbani house. We just finished doing Vacation Bible School at our Church. It was such a blessing and super fun! We also celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary on June 17th! YAY! We went to dinner and a movie, and our gift to eachother was we got family pictures done! I'll post a few tomorrow because I'm going to bed because we have Church tomorrow!

Addie said Mama!

She did! She did! She did! I can't believe it but at six months, one week and four days she said her first word! She of course doesn't understand that Mama means me, but she does know how to say it now! It was so adorable and I cried a little! I always practice saying easy words with her like Mama, Dada, Baba...easy words like that. Well we were in Coolidge visiting Andrew's Grandparents and I said it and she said "Mama" back to me. So I did it again and it took a couple tries but she said it again! Then Papa told her to say "Mama" and she yelled it out so loud! It was adorable...but the downside now is when she cries she goes Mamamamama and it's soooo sad! Andrew is definitely upset that she said Mama 1st! too bad!

Addie's 6 month appointment

Wow I can't believe my baby girl is six months old! On the day she turned six months old (June 4th) we passed by West Valley Hospital where she was born and and I shed a tear! It really does feel like just yesterday. She had her six month well baby appointment today. She's 21 lbs 10 oz and 28 and a 1/2 inches long. She's pretty much off the charts for height and weight. She's the size of the average 10 month old! The doctor says she's perfect...right where she needs to be physically and develope-mentally. I am so blessed and happy!

Updates & Picture overload...

Well I haven't updated in quite a while! AHH! I've just been so busy! We moved, and then I started babysitting another little boy three days a week so I've just been swamped. Addie is now officially six months old. She can sit up by herself, roll over both ways and is almost crawling. She scoots and it's so cute! She has her six month appointment on Thursday so I'm excited to see how she's growing and everything. We went to Kansas Memorial day weekend and visited Andrew's Dad and family and it was so much fun. Definitely a very relaxing weekend...the weather in Kansas was beautiful. A little bit too humid for me but we loved it. Addie really loved meeting her Grandpa and Grandma Kabbani and Uncle Malik.

I celebrated my first Mother's day this year! We went to Church, had lunch at Garcia's my favorite resturant and walked around Arizona Mills Mall. Andrew let me pick out this really cute pink+brown carter's diaper bag, and I also got a digital picture frame! It was so fun.
